Lightform Teaser
Art direction, design, and marketing to debut a new hardware brand.
The pre-pre-order…
To publicly announce Lightform for the first time in 2017, I led the direction of a new brand identity, website, and application examples including retail, signage, and home decor sets.
Despite being just an announcement and not an actual pre-order, the launch garnered top-tier press and tens of thousands of newsletter signups, preparing the company for a successful later product launch.
Identity
The Lightform identity was designed by Clarke Harris.
The wordmark is intended to quite literally represent light “forming”, as a light font weight gradually materializes into a heavier form.
The symbol represents a cone of light emanating from a single point and forming to the shape of its container or room. The symbol can simultaneously be perceived as a vanishing point in a two-point perspective.
